The Shop
In-House Objects is an extension of Make Tank Design Collaborative, which is focuses on prototyping and limited edition high end design. Make Tank was founded by Shaun Bullens in 2014. In-House Objects launched in 2023 as Make Tank’s in-house line designed by Bullens.
Our process integrates classic woodworking methods with contemporary design and technology. We avoid trends in favor of craft and listening to the material.
Bolstered by an atmosphere of learning and experimentation, the making of each piece is the result of intense collaboration.
The Team
Shaun Bullens is the lead designer and master woodworker for In-House Objects. A furniture making professional since 2007, Bullens holds an MFA in furniture design from Rhode Island School of Design, a certificate from the North Bennett Street School in 18th and 19th century furniture and cabinetmaking, and BFA in painting and design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
With Bullens at the helm, each piece is crafted by a dedicated group of creatives with diverse backgrounds. Each team member brings their unique perspective and skills.
Bullen’s dog, Jo, is also a proud member of the Make Tank team and serves as head of HR.
